Why We Do It
The Dirk Swain Foundation (DSF) is a 501-c3 non-profit arts organization dedicated to uplifting the community by educating and empowering young people (ages 13-18) on the stressors that may cause them physical, emotional or mental harm. The program is funded and produced by the Swain Creative Media Group LLC.

A young Adult (ages 19-25) job placement program is offerred after participants have graduated from the youth program.
​
The DSF's goal is to offer each participant the opportunity to creatively, academically and socially develop their innate creative powers, to assist in the maturation of successful and productive citizens.
​
The DSF offers participants the opportunity to flourish and grow creatively, academically and socially through hands-on filmmaking workshops in: writing, directing, producing, acting, editing, camera and live theater. In addition to creating productions for film, tv and stage, each participant will be required to take courses in Digital Marketing(via the DSF) to promote and sell their work.
The DSF is committed to the amelioration of young lives through self-esteem building, discipline and guidance.
The Dirk Swain Foundation recognizes the most successful tool in obtaining this goal is through modeling of desired behavior and is therefore committed to mentoring each participant in hopes of assisting them in meeting their own individual goals.

The DSF's goal is to find positive solutions for the youth we serve by providing opportunities to promote healthy social interactions and learn necessary life skills which will enable them to reach their full potential and in turn, uplift the youth of tomorrow.
The DSF utilizes various mediums to reach our youth.

The DSF gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams. I never thought I would be on real film sets and working with professionals while still a student in high-school. But, I have and the training I received will stay with me for life.

Swain Creative Media Group specializes in crafting compelling film, digital marketing, and theater projects. Our commitment extends to inclusivity, as we actively engage and empower youth from diverse DEI spectrums and communities, alongside seniors who contribute to our casting endeavors.
